Succession in Quarantine

I started a show that has been praised non-stop, I’ve finally subscribed to HBO Now and chose to watch Succession. I thought about watching the Sopranos again (still one of the best shows ever) but it’s time to branch out. At least that’s what I should do with all the time on my hands now right?

The theme of family feud, money, power, politics and the east coast setting is highly appealing. Looking through the paned mirror into the lives of the rich and powerful is a fascinating view into the real world. I think what the show does well is the complication of characters and the inter-winding interest between people and their goals. What I like about the show is their word and dialogue choice, I don’t think the show is too wordy like an Aaron Sorkin script but focused in the right ways.

And what an amazing opening score!

During a time of confusion

Common Sense Technologist was started at the start of 2020. This was going to be a space where I am able to write freely and explore ideas that I am extremely interested about. I’ve been mainly involved on Twitter but a blog seems appropriate for more long form content. I’ve tweeted about politics, COVID-19, foreign policy, technology, culture and more. When times are tough, and these are tough times, it is hard to create hope. However, I’m an optimist in the human condition. I believe that when challenges are in front of us, we’ll find innovative solutions and adjust to the conditions.

Looking forward to this ride with you all.
